Good question,probably because we all have immense respect for our mother so to slur her name in any way shape or form we look on as more of an insult than being personally insulted face to face xx

Um, having read yoour questions so far, it seems worthless insulting you, as your too dumb to take notice, the next person in line, partly responsible for the way yoou behave, is your mother.
And if you could get her to read this, i would appreciate it.

Theoretically it's meant to be the next person you care about the most after yourself. You have a unique bond with the one who gave birth to you, and naturally you would defend her against anything, therefore, an insult is likened to a physical attack, of which you would normally not allow. It's the easiest way to hurt you emotionally but not physically.

The reason why they do this, because to insult one's mother it will hurt and make that person very angry, to try and get some emotion out of you, it is cheap and painful, people who do that are low life.

Because a person's mother is probably the most revered person in their life, and to insult that revered person is more hurtful and anger provoking than any insult upon oneself.

it doesnt matter how cold hearted, or down right nasty a person is they will always listen, appreciate and stick up for their mothers. even the most wanted murderer. I agree it is lame calling sum ones mam bcoz she has done nothing wrong but it gets to the person more than anything else.
