How Do You Turn A Platonic Female Friend Into A Lover?

I'm mystified by how many male friends I have who would love to turn their female friends into lovers. The only problem for them—and this is a big problem—is that they have no idea how to effectively move their respective relationships from point A to point B.

I would love your advice on this matter; specifically, what should they do? How should they proceed?

I, personally, believe platonic friendships between single men and women are total farces. I've come to this conclusion as I have over the years managed to hook up with every single "female friend" I've ever had. I know it can be done; I believe it all boils down to technique. After all, if the platonic female friends were so repulsed by the male friends, how would they remain friends at all? Who among us enjoys spending time with unattractive, unappealing people? I don't. Not too many of us do—and that's my point.

So, again, the question is: How Do You Turn A Platonic Female Friend Into A Lover?

By the way, I'm asking this question because apparently my approach only seems to work for me. In other words, my advice for my friends has been absolutely useless for them.

Me thinks something traumatic happened at some point in your life. If a male friend develops feelings for you, you should not automatically get defensive over it. At the least, you should be flattered.

And, by the way, I'm still friends with all but two of them (who have moved far, far away).

That's really not that hard. They already trust you. So the next step is just a matter of talking about it. Most of the time they have already thought about it themselves. When you have that conversation with them and express you want to be more they will nine times out of ten have sex with you if not right then. Within the next twenty four hours. It's on there mind too. This how you find your best girlfriends.

I disagree completely. Those women were your friends but always hoped for something more. Someone who genuinely just wants to be friends will come to feel uncomfortable if that line is crossed and will back away from the relationship entirely. It has happened to me more times than I can count, it makes me feel betrayed, like there was always an alterior motive and I have never been able to redeem a friendship once that happened. Women (that really only want to be friends) enjoy the fact that they can hang out and spend time with someone who doesn't want anything from them. Women, especially attractive ones, are constantly bombarded with guys they aren't interested in pursuing them, having a 'friend' is safe, once he crosses that line he's no longer safe, he's just another guy trying to get in your pants and you can't go back from that. So my answer to your question is that you don't, it ruins everything. Maybe you boinked all those women but are they still your friends? I guess it can be done if you value your penis more than her friendship, and I guess most guys probably do...I think perhaps guys like you just aren't friend material. Oh and by the way, women decide in the first few minutes after meeting you whether you are 'doable' or not, you can move yourself to the not doable category by being stupid or being an a s s however if you fall in to the not doable category no 'technique' on earth is going to move you to the doable category so in the end thats really what it boils down to!

No (no longer acceptable to those that comprehend one yet another for extremely short volume of time as maximum individuals initiate from platonic buddies). in my opinion i've got self belief that there will be some style of 'feeling' alongside with your different-intercourse chum it is out of platonic chum's style of feeling. in simple terms like how u communicate or behave alongside with your different-intercourse chum is diverse once you're alongside with your comparable-intercourse chum. while the sensation is diverse, you will slowly (unknownly) get into relationship with him/her. each and every so often, you do no longer even comprehend it! it is why there are human beings save insisting that he/she and his/her different-intercourse chum are in simple terms platonic buddies. =)
