Atheisim does not work like that... now hiddln menas or depth... its like not beleiving in fairies or santa claus and having an ethics system thats bases on rationality, logic, intellignence that open o adating and progressing as is guidline based, not rigid rule based...

An analagy would be going down a one way road the right way and you see a car comeing towards you the wrong way...

The relgious would drive straight insisting its the right way , and gods will and they are not allowed to think or question.

An athiest would think the rules are there to stop accidents to driving onto the pavement to avoid a hit would be the smart thing to do even though illegal as the point of the law is to stop accidents.

There are levels of doubt in everyone. Most people would like there to be a God and somethimg beyond this physical world. Some people find sufficient proof of the existence of a God, others do not and they are the ones with deeper levels of atheism.

Why would you want to root them out? If it is a part of your spirit to question yourself and your actions, whether to do with religious beliefs or not, isn't that a good thing? I think it is, and I should say I am a religious person.

yes there is indeed. I as a follower of the messiah had my doubts about it all, but the Holy Spirit put pay to all of that!!! If you seek God with all your heart you will find Him. That spark of Him that is in you will drive you to search, its the bit that makes you ask the questions, the bit that "just knows" that drives you on, its His fingerprint on His creation that drives you to try and understand, but the truth is that "many are called, but few are chosen," and only a few in relation to the whole of mankind will find an accept the truth that the only way to God is through the Son, if you have the Son, you have the One who sent Him. God in in the Son, and the Son in you, He is the way, the bridge, the restorer of the breach that kept us from our Father. He said, "I AM the way the truth and the life, NO ONE comes to the Father but by Me." Accept or reject, its the truth. You decide.

Because we are better educated and can think for ourselves. Who wants that level of control back as of yesteryear, or live in the type of community where religion is law?

I don't want my atheism 'rooted out' thank you. I'm quite happy being a total non-believer. Just call me agnostic.

Religion is another dumb thing we invented as humanity because we couldn't cope with all the "where are we?" stuff.
