i would go back to your doctor and ask to try something else

i've been on zoloft for a year now and i love it. i was also taking the 50mg tablets and needed to be bumped up to 100mg but after i had the doseage increased-i felt better. zoloft comes in a max dose of 150mg but chances are again increasing it for you won't help-you already had the zoloft in your system when you increased the doseage the first time-it should have started to work after a week on the new dose.

there are several drugs out there for depression and just like any other condition-it's a matter of finding out which pill works best for you. take people with high blood pressure for example, they can go through 3 or 4 different pills before they find the one that works best for them

depression can be very serious and even fatal if not treated properly so it's very important that you find a pill that works for you...

I've been on zoloft for many years now and I take 100mg. When I tried a higher dosage I had problems with my eyes and not feeling physically well. Everyone is different but I would let your Doctor know. Zoloft is not for everyone and if it is making you feel the same as before or worse then before then it's not the right medicine for you.

When your doctor put you on a medication, did he also give you a little advice on changes to make in your life?
When a doctor gives you medication for a cold or other ailment, they tell you rest, get sleep. Stay home from school or work for a few days.
Did you get any additional advice? Did you get any guidance other than directions on how to take your medication? Just popping the pills is not going to do it alone. You shouldn't go out in a snowstorm when you are sick. Don't think you should carry on the same habits you did while your mind was a little 'off'. You have to make little changes mentally as well.

Did your doctor do a physical and blood test on you before he put you on zoloft? Depression can also be caused by an underactive thyroid, vitamin deficiency, hormonal imbalance, amino acid deficiency and toxicity among other things. I was depressed too, and my doctor did a blood test on me and found that I was deficient in Vitamin B12 (B12 deficiencies cause depression) and deficient in some other vitamins too. You really should make sure that there isn't something physiological causing your depression, because if there is that is what your doctor should be treating. If your doctor is not knowledgable about the other causes of depression then you can find a doctor who is and who will do the proper tests on you at http://www.alternativementalhealth.com

Typically, the SSRI's start working up to three to four weeks and since your physican increased your dosage to 100 and you have notice no change, you can go upt to 200 mg per day however ask your doc about Cymbalta or Effexor. I think it would work wonders for you. Lexapro is another alternative, as well. Go back to the doc, see a pyschiatrist.

First of all, what is your diagnosis? Then, we can go from there. You may have more than depression....most drugs take about 6-8 weeks to kick in...Make sure you told your doctor everything and have the right diagnosis....Good luck, Kitty

You can try upto 200mg and wait for of 12 weeks. If you are not getting any result try adding one more drug. I don't know why you are taking this drug. You can try Bupropion or Mirtazapine for depression. But you must take an SSRI if you have OCD.
Talk to your doctor.

Go back and switch.

I've had really good luck with Celexa.

Ask to try something different.

Remember, though, you will no feel perfect all the time no matter what you try

I would definitely discuss this with your MD. It should have already started working.
