Wonderful! ok now who is been spreading stories to you!
Islam as a religion did not exist when Tirupati Balaji was here so ask this question how when a religion did not exist could he take a wife of that non-existing religion? huh?
Exactly you have been had by someone very nicely!! Also one advice do not go by what is said in message boards they tend to confuse people a lot. Ask a priest in the temple or a learned person for clarifications .
Tirupati Balaji's Wife was Padmavati. Also it is said that a visit to Tirumala is incomplete if you do not visit the Padmavati Devi temple which is is located in Tiruchanur, 5-km from Tirupati.

yes! islam did not exist when tirupati devastanam was constructed however, the episode of bibi nanchari marrying venateshwara swami occurred during the time when Andhra pradesh was occupied by mughal rulers. In this particular episode, the islamic ruler takes away the utsav mufti from the temple and confiscates it for many years. When ramanuja goes to the court of the mughal ruler, he requests to have the murti back, it is noticed that the princess (bibi nanchari) has great attachment to this idol in both a physical and spiritual sense. She could not be separated form venkateshwara swami so she dedicated herself to the service of venkateshwar swami. This occasion was marked by a symbolic marriage in which bibi nanchari accepts bhagawan as her husband and master.
Whether this story is a legend or historical incident is up to you but i encourage you to do research and find answers yourself. stupid people like imhm2004 haven't studied scriptures and just keep talking. The important message in this incident is that the union of a muslim and hindu god shows that caste and religion is not a barrier between devotee and god.

Yes Bibi Nanchari is Muslim. It all started with the Sultan of Delhi coming across the idol of ‘Chellapillaraya' (Maha Vishnu) in Melkote (now in Karnataka) during a war in South India and ordering his soldiers to bring it to Delhi. Awestruck by the stunning beauty of the deity's gleaming face, the Sultan's daughter however prevailed upon the soldiers and started worshipping it. The veneration transformed into deep love in due course, despite the severe punishments meted out by the Sultan. The hard stance yielded no result, but further reinforced the bonding. Maha Vishnu appeared in Sultan's dream and expressed his willingness to marry his daughter. The Sultan agreed to the marriage. Even today, the ‘Chellapillaraya' temple in Melkote has a sub-shrine for Bibi Nanchari close to the main sanctum sanctorum.

Venkateshware word comes from "Vaikunta+Ishwara" meaning the Lord of the Spiritual World (Vaikuntha means Place without any Anxiety).
Since Spiritual World (as mentioned in Bhagavad Gita) is the same for Every one, irrespective of their Bodily Designations ..Either Hindu, Muslim, Christians, Indian, Pakistani or American... These are only Bodily Designation..
So God is neither Hindu nor Muslim ...The Muslims however call him a Hindu God to differentiate him from their chosen name to call God - Allah ..Every Soul has the Right to Love God.. Irrespective of what religious Stamp they might have put on.. And the same Right goes to marrying him too..
Looking at the history however, Lord Venkateshwara was in Satyuga and then people did not have these Bodily Disease of Designation..Meaning every one was looked on the level of Soul.. Hence at that time, mention of someone as Muslim is hardly possible..
But there is a possibility that she is married to the Deity of lord Venkateshwara .. There is a tradition where some women marry the deity (who is non different from the Lord himslef) and decide to dedicate their lives in service of God.. Such women are also called Wife of God..
I don’t know about the authenticity of this claim, but such a situation is a possibility and the explanation I have given above..
As there is no restriction of any one loving God, there is no restriction for any one marrying him too, provided love of God is developed.

If it is so, it only shows that there is no religion for God. Religions are man made! and politics of religion has spoiled the humanity.

Christian, Islam, Hindu, Buddhism, etc. These religions are having one and the same God, although the practice of worship and belief were different. God introduced Himself in so many names.
