Put a needle into him. I don't know if they creamate the animals alive.

I had to have dogs put down before. I was given the choice to bring the dogs home for burial or let the vet "dispose" of them. I was never given the option of cremation.
If this was a beloved family pet, go for the cremation. The vet should put the animal down by needle either way you choose.
My sympathy is with you in your loss.

The needle is "euthanasia" or "putting to sleep."

This involves the death of your pet.

Cremation involves what happens AFTER your pets dies. It doesn't matter whether or not it the death was natural or a vet-assisted death.

When a pet dies, is "put down", or is "put to sleep", you have a choice about what happens to its body after death. Cremation is only one option. I have my late Lacey's cremated remains in a beautiful jar in my home. This option cost close to a couple hundred dollars.

Our vet offered the free option of having her body taken by a not-for-profit group for burial in an undisclosed area within our community.

I am sorry about your loss.

I'm sorry for your loss, and I agree with everyone about having the dog put down.
There is another option with regards to what to do with your dog, that is not common, and is very expensive from what I understand....Taxidermy. (where your dog is stuffed and left in life form, enabling you to take the home with you as an ongoing part of your home).
I am not being crude or silly, or insensitive, I just thought I'd let you know about this as an option, no matter how far fetched an idea it is... and I hope I haven't offended you at this terrible time...

I would say needle cause cremated is a way of getting rid of a corpse by buring it.

Uh, needle, THEN creamation. I don't think anyone is going to burn your dog alive.
Sodium Penabarbatol, then decide what to do with its remains. You can have to dog creamated(burned) and get the ashes, or just have them dispose of it, or you can take the body and bury it somewhere.
Disposal of remains isn't for the dog, it's for you, so whatever will give you the best feeling closure.
