Nope. I don't believe in the good, the intermediate and the ugly. I'm an atheist, but thanks for asking!

Yes...and its PURGATORY...as in Purging. A cleansing or purging of residual sin.
Not in the Bible? Well, lets see. In the Book of Revelation it tells us that nothing unclean can enter the Kingdom. No thing and no person unclean will enter Heaven or the presence of God. See Rev 21:27
In the 5th Chapter of 1st John we see starting with verse 16, If anyone sees his brother sinning, if the sin is not deadly, he should pray to God and he will give him life. This is only for those whose sin is not deadly. There is such a thing as deadly sin, which I do not say that you should pray. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that is not deadly.
1 John 5:16 makes it very clear not all sin is the same. This is where the Church gets venial sin and mortal sin. Sin that is not deadly and sin that is deadly.
Now if Revelation 21:27 is the true word of God, and so is 1 John 5:16 how do we reconcile the two together? We could commit a sin that is not unto death...a minor venial sin that is not deadly...not bad enough for Hellfire.....but now NOTHING UNCLEAN can enter Heaven.
If there were no way of purging venial sin, that would mean that at the moment of death you would have to be in absolute perfect sinless grace. Even the slightest little venial sin...getting angry at someone because you were cut off in traffic...and you would have to spend eternity in Hell.
Oh....the Bible DOES NOT say; absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 says, So we are always courageous, although we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yet we are courageous, and we would rather leave the body and go to the Lord.
This DOES NOT say to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. It says we would rather leave our body and go to be with the Lord. It in no way excludes the possibility of a purging of venial sin between the leaving of the body and going to the Lord.

No! there is no such place mentioned in the Bible. Jesus made the truth very clear when he spoke of the rich man and Lazarus. The whole business of purgatory is a make up of some religion and when we die,as Christians, the Bible stated absent from the body, present with the Lord. For the unsaved, they go to a type of hell from which there is no return where they await the final judgment and from there they are cast into hell for eternity (see Revelations) We only have one chance in this life with no chance in the next.

Not really, and i am Catholic. The scripture that I have heard that is related to Purgatory is the one that says that: "be careful how you build.............if you build with wood hay or straw, you shall be saved but such as by fire"
But I believe that this purging takes place mostly on this earth not in a special place. I think that the rest of the "dross" so to speak will be burned off from those who are "saved" when they enter the presence of the Glorified Jesus.
I completely agree with the theory however that anything that is not of God that we have dragged with us into the "great beyond", must be gotten rid of if it is to be a sinless paradise where we all have free fellowship with God Forever, MUST be shed in some way.

no it doesnt exist.
Jesus talked hundreds of time about Hell (the eternal tormenting place) and only a few times about heaven - in the NT.
He never said anything about a middle place. that is a made up belief to make people feel like they have a chance after they die, but God's word is clear - Hebr 9:27 - After death is only Judgment.

Heck no...
it was just some term made up by greedy people who wanted money from the rest of us. making us believe that we have to pay or else "God would put us in purgatory".
It's pure B.S.

Hell not pergatory...Jesus himself said Hell...sorry.
1) First of only a few, because there's more...
Acts 2:29-31: "...let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried...Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in HELL, neither his flesh did see corruption."
2)
“And in HELL he lift up his eyes, being in torments. . .” Luke 16:23 (KJV)
3) In Luke 16, Jesus Christ gives a frightening picture of hell:
22 . . . the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. (Luke 16:22-28)
4)HELL IS A PLACE OF FIRE
The man in Luke 16:24 cries: ". . .I am tormented in this FLAME."
In Matthew 13:42, Jesus says: "And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
In Matthew 25:41, Jesus says: "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting FIRE,. . ."
Revelation 20:15 says, " And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE."
5) Hell was not made for man. Matthew 25:41 says, hell was, ". . . prepared for the devil and his angels:" But since we sinned against God, it is now also for us.
Pergatory....No.
