Semper fidelis means "always faithful." It is a vow. I've read a novel with that title. It says that always is longer than forever. That was the promise of the woman to her man when they got married and she keeps whispering that to her man whenever they make love. They had annulment coz he had another. He let her go but five years later, they see each other again. She is cold, trying to hide the feelings but he was persistent. He won her back. It's a long story. My summary is meager. A lovely story.
