there are 2 rooms. one room has three light switches. the other room has three light bulbs which correspond to the three switches.
you are trying to figure out which switch corresponds to which bulb.
Rules: you can only turn each switch on and off one
a switch dosnt have to be switched at all
the door between the two rooms is always shut when you - switch the flips.
you can go between the two rooms howevermany time - you want to.

you turn on two lightbulbs, and then you wait a few minutes. you turn one off, then go in a room, and if the lightbulb is off, you check to see if it is hot. the rest figures itself out. :]

Apparently, there are a number of solutions.
The "official" answer is:
Fortunately, Buford runs Redneck Heating and Air and understands thermodynamics!
Buford starts with all the switches off for at least a few minutes, then turns light switch #1 on.
He waits a minute, then turns it off.
He then switches the light switch #2 on.
He then walks down the hallway to the three lights. The one that’s on is connected to switch #2. The feels the two remaining bulbs. The one that’s hotter is connected to switch # 1. The one that’s colder is connected to switch # 3.
He then calls his brother in law Cletus who runs Redneck Electric and gets him to redo the wiring so he doesn’t have to always do this whenever he forgets!

If you can go from 1 room to the other as many times as you want:
Turn on switch 1, go to room 2 & check which light is on.
Turn on switch 2, go to room 2 & check which light is on.
Last switch for last bulb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all you have to do is leave each light bulb on for about 5 minutes seperately.. like the first one leave on for 5 min then turn off and go feel the warmth of each bulb and so on and so forth.. that bulb that is warmest out of them will be the corresponding bulb to the switch

Remove all three lightbulbs.
Turn one switch on.
Return to the room,
and return bulbs to sockets until it lights.
