I know the websites say Bordeaux can get bigger, but which is a bigger dog on average? Anyone here know for sure?

Also, how do there body types differ? Which is a stronger dog overall?

they are closely related, and have about the same range of average sizes and capabilities.

I'm not familiar with a Bordeaux but we had a Mastiff growing up... and I saw her knock down many a grown man! Also, at 6 months old she could stand on her hind legs and lean her head over the top of a 6' chain link fence... she was one of the sweetest dogs we ever owned, but she was HUGE.

There isn't enough difference to get excited about. Pick your dog on other qualities... not size. But then,... I've heard size DOES matter!
