If they must be married in the eyes of god. and Jesus is god, then Jesus didnt have to get married legally. He could just declare whom ever he wanted as his chicky babe as long as she agreed.

Biologically speaking, it was very possible for Jesus to have children...

Despite assertions from some that Jesus "couldn't" have been married to Mary Magdalene, because any such union would conflict with Biblical teaching - it is perfectly within the scope of His Providence to have taken a wife.

Consider this: Jesus came to earth to save us... but part of that required that he understand the human condition. So he had to understand what it is like to be hungry and thirsty... tired... sad... angry (yeah... we see Jesus get angry in the Bible)... he experienced a wide range of emotions... is it so outlandish to believe that he could experience love (eros, as opposed to agape, for those of you who are about to try to get picky about my choice of words). The fact that he was God did not negate his humanity... instead, the fact that he was God made his humanity that much more special... because he understands what we go through...

And so those who stand before him as he sits as judge can't say to God "You just don't understand what it was like" because he does.

So... it is perfectly plausible that he took a wife and had children... fellow Christians... wouldn't you rather serve a God who can relate to your day to day life??? I would.

What makes you think that they were NOT married? Whose marriage was that at Cana? I mean here was Mother Mary telling her Son that they were almost out of wine. Why would that have concerned Her and Him if it were not His wedding? Remember too that Jesus was a rabbi. It was and is the custom of rabbis to be married. Who would trust the wisdom of a bachelor in matters of the family?

Remember that most of the records of the early church were destroyed. Only accounts written much later or those by Paul who never met Jesus are what we now have left as canon.

If Jesus and Mary Magdalene did have sexual congress, I trust it would have been after they were married. Of course then their children would have claim to the Throne or at least leadership in the Jerusalem church just as John passed it to Jesus and Jesus to James the Just (his brother).

Such hereditary leadership seemed fatal, however. Paul may have been the one who killed James the Just. Biblical scholars are not exactly in agreement on that but they do say that Peter was not given the keys to church. That was a convenient lie for the Church of Rome to engulf a faith that was strictly a Jewish one.

That was ironic. The Romans killed Jesus, then destroyed Herod's Temple, slaughtered well over a million Jews (Pharasees, Essenes, etc), and then took over a Messianic movement originally based upon its overthrow. Helped to have Paul there with his "special insight" about dying and resurrecting gods. Might as well call it Paulianism now.

Nevermind me, just think we ought to be able to read the scrolls from Qumran and those that were recovered from the Temple and stored in Scotland. But I guess too much money to be made in the Church to ever let it be the church.

Mary Magdalene is only a follower of christ and you are wrong about having children without marriage its one of the biggest sin in bible and sorry to say you commit the sin 5 times its good for you to get marry now, hope god forgives you.

Biblically speaking it didn't happen. It would have been a sin for them to have sex out of wedlock and Jesus strikes me as a Practice-what-he-preaches Christian. I'm sure they were close. Mary obviously loved him based on the fact that she followed him selflessly and never renounced him. Jesus was on the road a lot without family I'm sure Mary was a source of immense comfort to him and the love he had for her was not the same as the love he had for his disciples.

Jesus had no wife nor no children. It was a book, a fictional book.

You are basically putting your theory on The DaVinci Code. That's what is false. It was just a book. And the site you posted is someones wishful thinking. Shoot, I could write what-ever I wanted to, but that doesn't make it true.
Your name fits you perfectly......JUNK

Jesus died and three days later His body was nowhere to be found and has never been found, He went to hell, but the devil had no claim and couldn't hold Jesus there because Jesus was not guilty of any sin, even today, Jesus body is not here, that is proof enough that He has overcome death because He overcame temptation and sin.

There is no credible historical evidence that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, or that he had kids with her (whether married or not).

Cordially,
John

It is highly unlikely. In those days people who committed adultery were stoned to death.

does it matter?

Jesus is still God.

besides, if He did, who are any of us to say that he shouldn't have?

That would be interesting conversation at the Pearly Gates.
