More confusing perhaps, harder no. I think it's harder to be a parent these days. Kids grow up too fast and don't respect or fear anyone or anything. Parents need control to be effective but it takes exceptional parents to maintain control of todays liberated kids.

Uhmm. I think each generation has it's tough times. I think there was more pressure to do drugs back when.....>>>>.. and now the emphasis is a little more on sex at a younger age. I really think it's just as adults you tend to see things more since it's what you already sort of went through. I think kids now a days are forced to mature faster, but in the end they become really irresponsible adults because they missed out on the "play" times. But there is more "wickedness" out there now. Such as child molesters, murderers, etc. I kind of just think there's more awareness now, that's what makes it seem different. The change of times, we all adjust, some better than others.

Yes it is harder today. When I was a teen the worst I had to deal with was pot and beer. HIV and AIDS were just coming to a head. Teen dress is a lot more provocative then even 10 yrs ago. There is a lot of other things but I think that kids today have it tougher and I think there is way more pressure

It must be harder to be a kid because most of them want to be adults too early. It is harder on them because of peer pressure, media attention, and moral decline.

The situation that we had before and the present situation of our kids is actually the same, the only thing that makes a difference then and today is the environment that they are into.

to be honest i think kids have it easier these days, parents are more relaxed belieiving that a child has a right to their own life. From the stories i hear from everyone years ago, their parents were actually able to put their foot down and restrictions meant just THAT - restrictions!

Definately. The world has become so politically correct kids have no hope of getting away with half the things we did. Heck if they even jigger about they have some drugs thrown down their throats. They can't roam about as freely as we did. Schools have unrealistic expectations the list goes on.
