Will splitting your ends eventually make you loose your hair when your older?! How do you stop the habit?!?

cuz its a real big problem for me, and my mom always tells me that im gonna loose my hair later in life for doing it?!

any ways to quit?

They make you lose hair before you get older. If you don't do something about the splitties, it will split right up the hair shaft, causing massive breakage.

You will not lose your hair, but, your hair will take longer to grow. Think about it, when you split a hair, you are tearing off a good portion of the end. Cut your hair so you do not get tempted to split the ends and just be patient when growing your hair long. My sister has very long hair like mine but she refused to get her hair cut. She sacrificed loosing a few inches and taking more time to get long hair for damaged hair and split ends. Her hair is long, but it is so ratty and unhealthy.

I was told that split ends are caused from dryness. I would cut the ends of my hair like every 6 months. Condition your hair also.And no its not a habit. Nor your going to lose your hair as you get older ! LOL LOL LOL LOL your mom is just kidding with you.

No, it won't make you lose your hair, but if your hair is splitting, that means it's not very healthy. You need to get a haircut, use a good conditioner and drink more water.

Split ends will cause hair to break and fall out at any age, young or old. how and why are you spliting you own hair ends , are you teasing your hair? listen to your mom, and quit it, she knows best.
