Aslan (Lion in Turkish) is my fave name for a dog.

The oddest names I had, Rover for an indoor cat that followed us around like velcro. The oddest name for a dog, a doberman female we called Fifi - she was a very nutty dog.

That's funny - I worked for a veterinary office - a nice guy useto bring his dog in named D-O-G. Wonder if you're that same person..... Anyway, my favorite name for a dog is Baby. The strangest dog name I've seen is FSBO - pronounced fizzbo. This was the name of a patients dog - the owner was a real estate agent. It stands for "For Sale By Owner". Pretty Cool, I think!!!

I'm going to go with Lucy as my favorite dog name because that is my favorite dog's name. It's not even my dog, but she's my favorite. I also think Charlie Brown is a cute dog name. Basically any Peanuts characters: Snoopy, Linus, Shroeder...I love them all. The weirdest name...we had a cat named Tigerlily for awhile. We usually just called her Lily, though. My aunt is famous for weird but cute pet names: One-Black-Toe (he had white feet and only one black toe!), ZeeBee, Sunny George, Big Cat, Sweetcakes, and Lucius to name a few. They also had Toby and Morgan, and i thought those were cute names. I love all her weird names.

I have a male English Bulldog named Lug-Nut. It's funny because people who can't remember his name have called him Tug-Bolt, Lock-Nut, Tire Tool, Lug-Bolt, Lug-Wrench and even Short Socket. I can't help but laugh and tell them when he's cremated I will have to put all his names on the urn or a favorite ball of his.

I love just plain old human names like Sam, Ed, Carl, David, John, Ralph etc. AND yes, I know these dogs with these names. I think it just fits their personalities. And isn't that what ya want to do when you name a pup....capture it's personality?
