Exd 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

If Abraham Isaac and Jacob didn't know Jesus by the name of JEHOVAH what makes you think you know hime by that name.

Acts4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved ........Read Acts and you will find that they are speaking of Jesus.

Good point.

Many Jehovah's Witnesses are sincere, but their theology does not match what the Bible teaches... e.g., see articles at http://godsci.org/gs/sect/jw/jw00.html

Cordially,
John

How does your question refer to your comments? At Exodus 6:3, it plainly states Jehovah, as you pointed out. Also, at Psalms 83:18 it says that God has a name and it is Jehovah. At Acts 4:12, sure it is talking about Jesus. There is no other salvation except through Jesus Christ, the son of God. Even Simon Peter said that Jesus was God's son. (Matthew 16:16).

At Isaiah 43:10, Jehovah God says "You are my witnesses", hence those who are God's servants are Jehovah's Witnesses.

Jehovah's Witnesses both witness and bear witness to God's personal name, his majestic personality, and Kingdom purposes. In doing so, they align themselves with Jesus Christ and the prophets.

(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah

(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.

(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus

(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”

(Acts 5:38,39) Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, You may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

I find it sad that people listen to other people describing our beliefs and they never want to listen to US.
a.) Abraham, Isaac and Jacob died hundreds of years before Jesus, (the SON of God {JEHOVAH}) was born. They each knew that the Messiah (Jesus) would come thro' their offspring as was promised to them by JEHOVAH...their God.
b.) I don't THINK I know who God is, on the other hand my STUDY of the WHOLE Bible has TAUGHT me who He is
Ps 83: 18 and....
c.) if by "they", you mean Paul (who wrote the book of Acts) meant that our salvation comes through accepting God's Son as our redeemer from the sinful condition that Adam placed mankind in......well, you're right on that point....that is ONE of the requirements God has placed on mankind for salvation.
If I have not made these simple truths clear enough for you, you could find out more by e-mailing Jehovah's Witnesses at:
www.watchtower.org. while you're at that site you might find it enlightening to find out WHY we are called Witnesses of Jehovah.

Jehovah's Witnesses witness to the good news about the Christ. They witness the good news of Gods Kingdom and that it is the only solution to all mankinds problems, we witness that Jesus Christ has been installed as King of that kingdom. We witness to the fact that Jehovah, Jesus Christ's Father, is the only true God and Jesus is his son, we witness about Gods purposes for mankind, we witness to the fact that salvation comes by exercising faith in the ransom sacrifice of Christ Jesus and the doing of Gods will. We witness to the fact that the Bible is the word of God. We witness out of love for God and our neighbor despite persecution. Romans 10:10 For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation. 1 Corinthians 9:16 If, now, I am declaring the good news, it is no reason for me to boast, for necessity is laid upon me. Really, woe is me if I did not declare the good news!

the word yehôvâh is translated both The Lord and Jehovah. Exodus 6:6 the same word is used for the Lord as it is for JEHOVAH.

IF you could read any of the languages that the scriptures were originally written in you'd find out that Jehovah is the the same as Jesus. (Hebrew,Greek,Aramaic) NOT that I support the cult of Jehovah's Witness.

It's because Christ Jesus is not God. Very simple. If you read revelations in the beginning it say's clearly that GOD GAVE THIS REVELATION TO HIS SON JESUS. How could they be one and yet seperate?
