I thnik its great that you have Mystery of the Deity in your Question and you are obviously a christian.

I know its from Luke 10.

My point is that is EXACTLY what the christain faith is.....a Mystery.

Constantly changing....always hiding the truth.

You could not have hit it more on the head.

No, some people are too arrogant to witness to it, but it is not "hidden," per se, from people. Rather, people hide from it and indulge in distractions and amusements. After all, watching American Idol is more important than contemplating the Cosmos, right (note the pun).

Yes, just as the bible says elsewhere, not many great and not many noble will enter the kingdom of heaven. In the verses you mention, Jesus is praying, thanking the Father that He gives knowledge to the simple, but withholds it from the "wise", that is, people puffed up in their own "intellect", whose own pride is a stumbling block to who God is.
