seed storage

cool between 40 F - 45 F
dry ? 40- 50% humidity

Ref : http://www.ag.auburn.edu/landscape/herbaceousperennials.html
... storage is necessary, store seed at 40 to 45°F and 40 to 50% relative humidity in sealed containers. ... temperature zones, a cool night temperature

However you might want to check with the FDA or the USP. for their definitions.

This really depends on what you are storing. In the laboratory, we have some very hygroscopic (attract moisture) chemicals that must be stored in a dessicator, a device that attempts to create an environment as close to zero humidity as possible. Others which are not as sensitive can be stored on a shelf so long as they are capped quickly after use. The great majority of chemicals fall into this category. Average humidity inside a building usually runs 40-60 % and this is dry enough without excess exposure.

As for "cool", it is generally considered that "room temperature", defined as 25 Celsius/77 Fahrenheit, is considered cool enough unless otherwise stated. Direct sunlight/room light should be avoided as the radiant heat can raise the internal temperature. Best bet is in a closed cabinet.

Without specific knowledge of what you are storing, this is as specific as I can answer. If the guidelines are that general, then as long as you keep it out of direct light, close to room temperature, and avoid excess exposure to the air, you should be good to go.

Well, back in the day I was taking bio and chem, the relative humidity was about 60 to 70% and the average room temperture was 70 degrees F.
