No I did not. And, I grew up in a time when there was no Internet, cell phones, I-Pods, DVD players, CD's, etc., and all the other gadgets and we actually had more fun than the kids today! We all go on just fine without all that stuff. Technology has made our lives LESS enjoyable according to a recent study, not the other way around.

As a mom of a 6yr old only child yes she is allowed to have a tv in her room and a vcr/dvd player. I got tired of watching her shows and movies.

No TV until I was a Junior in High School. My children have a TV room outside of their bedroom, not in their room.

No, I wasn't allowed one either. My brother was allowed to have one over some guilt trip he played on our mother. My son does now BUT the TV doesn't work for watching regular. It's a TV/VCR combo that he can watch video tapes on only. I don't allow him to use it to fall asleep either.

No, my parents wouldn't allow it. They didn't want us watching things we weren't supposed to be watching--and the only way to make sure was for all of us watching the same TV in the living room. Plus, it allowed us to have "family time".

Yes I did. I was the only one of my friends that did. My son did too. That way he could play his video games in his room. He could also watch sports in there!

I do. There are 7 bedrooms in my house and all of them have a tv. Some, including mine, have a computer too.

No, I did not. And I was too busy having fun with my friends, being creative, walking, riding bikes, etc. My youngest son did and it was a mistake. He missed out on family togetherness. Wish I could do it over again. You have wise parents. Cherish them. They obviously care about you.

Yes, I had a black and white set that I used to watch documentaries and such with. I wasn't allowed to have it on at night though.
