Thats a GREAT question. Well, people (especially teens) often say "i love you" way too soon in a relationship because they want to experiance what love is or speed up the relationship or maybe the guy wants the girl to trust him or for other reasons.... Well just because he/she says they love you doesnt mean they really do. People now a days put to much importance on those three little words. If you guys really loved each other than you would feel it without having to say it to eachother. It would show by the way you guys treat eachother etc... That stuff is whats important. If they break up with you after they said i love you then it could be that they were not serious with the relationship or maybe that they were afraid of falling love.. You cant know for sure but those might be just a couple reasons why people do the things they do. Things like these always suck... I know VERY well from experiance but believe me when i say that everything will be ok in the end and life goes on. Here is something that my friend once told me: You have to the take good with the bad, smile when your sad, love what you got and always remember what you had. Always forgive but never forget. Learn from your mistakes but never regret. People change, things go wrong but always remember, LIFE GOES ON!""

You need more than just love to make a relationship work. Couples can love each other but not stay together. Love is only one part of a relationship. There is more to than love. There is respect, honesty, attraction, and most of all trust also having something in common helps to. So to keep a relationship going you need all of these not just love.

they break up because they didn't know each other well enough when they fell in love. And the truth about each other is revealed, they can't accept the truth so they break up. Breaking up is very rampant because people tend to be escapists from reality.
