I dated a person that I worked with once, at first it was fine. We were really good at keeping our personal and professional lives seperate and it worked for us. But eventually we both moved on and it was always awkward between us after that... we remained friends (knowing we'de have to see each other all the time) but there was always this wierd tension between us. It's definitely the kind of drama you want to avoid unless you are SURE that it is worth it!

I dated a co worker and then married him. I think if you both are mature then its ok to date a coworker. The boss should be left alone. Find a new job or move to a different department to work in.

Yes.
It can be problematic in more than a few ways...if you have a fight, it makes it difficult to work. If you need time away from them, you can't really avoid them.
But on the other side, in a new relationship, you can't get enough of the person. Which can also get you into trouble--taking extra-long breaks, talking to them too much, sneaking off...you know.
There are good and bad sides, but overall, I think it's fine.

I did. It was a secret. Then he ended it. He got all awkward and Got married 2 months later. He still feels awkward around me, and doesn't talk to me anymore. It's funny seeing him during breaks and lunches. Even more so, sinced I switched nearer to his dept.
He doesn't go to the cafe at all (where I work).
A year later, which is now recent months, he comes to the cafe once in a while, but not anymore since he quit n_n

yea... its kinda nice to begin with because you see them all the time.. but sooner or later there will probably be a break-up and that can cause alot of drama in the workplace.
