I would guess a siezure.... they are SOOOOOO Scary, try to get him some water, if he won't come out from under the bed put some blankets and stuff under there for him, keep it really dark.
My lab had this happen once, scared the sh!t out of me! We lived in an area where there was only one vet, the next nearest were miles and miles away. They wanted 500 bucks down just to see him after hours, we didn't have 500 at that exact moment..... So they walked us through things to do, my hubby held him so he wouldn't hurt himself and we literally poured water down his throat. finally when he calmed down enough we put him in the bed. My hubby slept on one side and I slept on the other. We actually didn't sleep barely at all, if it is a siezure that dog will be VERY tired, after all it is all of their muscles contracting sporadically. Take him to the vet tomorrow and just keep him in a comfortable dark quiet room for tonight.

I have to tell you, it sounds like your dog is suffering from abuse of some kind. Is he/she ever alone with other people besides yourself. If not, maybe he is developing a blood sugar problem, or even doggie seziures. taking him to the vet is a good idea.
It is oviously very serious he could be poisoned or anything is possible. If the symptoms get worse, take him to the emergency vet tonight. If emergency is not available, watch him carefully.
good luck. Try to make note of the symptoms you notice. It will help the vet with the diagnosis.

Sounds like your dog has an injury. Get him to the vet and let him find the injury. Sometimes bad teeth will do that as well. My dog had an abcess and reacted in the same way.

he sounds like he is in pain. If you can coax him out from under the table, gently touch his entire body slowly to try to figure out what/where it hurts. His paws? His back, hips, mouth, stomache...everywhere. It may be something you can help him with, if it is obvious. It will help him to feel reassured and comforted.

Awww, I hope your dog feels better soon. I just adore animals. Anyways, yes, it could be serious. Like the others said, he could be in pain. So, please do take him to the vet.
