Dry eyes are a problem associated with steroid therapy..If steroids are continued, fake tears are recommended to prevent corneal ulcer.
dry eyes cause the redness..

Steroids are anti-inflammatories. It's to help calm the nerves and muscles in her back so she feels better.

i got it............ steroid injections will relieve the pressure build up in the spinal cord and vertibres..... the hound will be very happy,,,, even with bloody eyes.

well to help ease her pain but probably not the best method
well it will improve her muscle strength if you excersize her just a little each day she should get better
