I think marijuanna is not as bad as alcohol? I have never seen anyone get mean on pot. I think pot is probably even healthier than alcohol. Marijuanna is a pyschological addiction. Alcohol is a physical addiction. I believe it should be legal.

There are so many arguements to this...but you are correct. Alcohol has been proven to kill braincells, impair one ability, and make people violent.
Marijuanna actually does not kill brain cells, what its real effect on short term memory is, that it seperates the gap in your memory sector (just short term) to make it more difficult for the sparks in your brain to jump (making it harder to remember that specific thing that someone asks what you did five minutes ago...like it matters they were high anyway couldn't be that important. If it was they wouldn't be high in the first place...one thing I learned if its that important wait till you're done to smoke.
The reason it won't become legal is it it generating revenue for the police and states...it can't be regulated (as you can grow it almost anywhere)...there is no way to tell how high someone is...and most importantly COTTON; hemp is cheaper easier and more durable than cotton so the industry actually lobbies the hardest against the legalization of marijuanna because of the effect it would have on their industry.
Although it is very true if it were properly regualted it could be a huge band aid for our economy, as it would open the door for so many businesses and then taxes on top and licenses and the list goes on but the bueracrats won't pull their heads out of their asses and realize its potential and think well if we legalize that we have to legalize all of the drugs which is BS heroin kills...you CAN NOT OD on WEED.
To all others don't knock it till ya try it...and one time doesn't count...some people I know don't like it but still don't see why it is illegal.
Also don't listen to the HYPE...they are high not drunk...drunk drivers kill people not high drivers...
Oh man I almost forgot about all the people that would be let out of jail do you realize how overpopulated out jails are, and how much of that is due to marijuanna related offenses...OMG if you realized how much of your tax money could be used to stop more important things like crackheads who broke into your car last night cause they needed a fix, wow you would change your tune...CRACK KILLS

Yes for many reasons.
1.) Drug crime rate would obvisouly decrease.
2.) Drug related deaths would decrease.
3.) It would put a lot of really bad people out of business if their speciality is just selling Marijuanna.
4.) Has proven medical attributes.
That's all i can think of right now, but there are many other reasons why I think Marijuanna should be legalized.

YES, YES AND YES AGAIN!!! I used to argue this point w/my mom when I was a sr. in high school. I'd tell her that a person can drink let's say 6 beers and their whole being has changed, if a person smokes, all they do is laugh, relax, and want to eat!! And her response was always well it's just not legal.........and then my always and forever response - Well it should be!!! I remember she had to go to the dr. for her glaucoma and I'd say hey mom they say pot is good for glaucoma - want me to get you some? LOL - and of course being the old school wonderful woman she'd say NO it's not legal!!! LMAO Now that I've rambled again yessssssssss it should be legal!!! Agree with your philosphy 100 and 10%!!!!!!

I smoked pot when I was younger ..I wasn't what you would call a pot head but i smoked it...I also have epileptic seizures and in recent years have had to smoke a joint because I was out of medicine..It works I think they should leaglize it for medical reasons and also that it isn't as bad as alcohol...Alcohol can cause more problems than marijuana

I think it should be.
I think the government should be able to make money off of it like it does smokes and booze.
People are going to do it anyway.
And no, I am not a big drinker (couple of glasses of wine at christmas) and I do not smoke pot.

I have mixed feelings, I wouldn't want someone that is high teaching my kid or treating me in a operating room..... but on the other hand, it is a great way to chill out and lets you get a good night sleep

I haven't seen people get "Mean" on pot but I HAVE seen people get aggressive when they DON'T have pot.
I don't really think it should be legal.

I totally agree with you because you don't ever hear of a person killing someone while driving under the influence of marijuana. I think marijuana makes you slow down if anything. Where as alcohol has the opposite affect and it kills people and makes some people destructive and violent when intoxicated.

Definitely. Mainly as medicine for terminally ill, and as ecologically sustainable source of fiber, paper, fuel, and food
Way more important to me than recreational use. Even for that though, it may be obnoxious but its pretty much harmless, and way sfer than alcohol
