The shot or the bump is on the side of my cheek and I also have braces, what does it mean?

Any injection will cause slight bruising of little consequence.
It is unusual to have an injection in the cheek, and I wonder if there may not be another explanation, viz:
1. You may have accidentally damaged your cheek whilst numb, as some people will have a bit of a "chew", only to regret it later.
2. In the side of your cheek near the upper molar is the opening for the parotid salivary duct that has a little flap of skin. Perhaps this is what you feel. Again, if people chew this a bit it will get swollen.
In summary, leave the bump alone.

It's fine. I promise. The same thing's happened to me after shots. It's completely normal and will go down in a few days and you'll forget you ever asked this question!

perfectly normal, I mean you were stabbed in the gums, of course there Will be a site injury, it Will pass, just rinse with mouthwash, you should be fine. It is just that your tongue likes to go over and touch this site, as if the tongue had a mind of its own...just normal stuff. if it hurts, take advil not tylenol because advil is an antipyeretic
