Turkey! Why? It tastes great, and I love all the ways I can use the leftovers: sandwiches, turkey noodle soup, turkey casserole, etc.
I also love dressing: IF it is Southern style: made from cornbread, and baked separately from the turkey so that the top gets crusty. It isn't gummy like bread stuffing cooked inside the turkey.

I've always LOVED mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie... The only time of the year where we'd get REAL mashed potatoes was Thanksgiving!:-) And I LOVE mashed potatoes! The boxed kind does not even compare! Also, I LOVE pumpkin pie...my FAVORITE kinda pie :-) Every year we go around the table and say what we're thankful for, and I always say mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie!

G'day Floyd and Kayla,
Thank you for your question.
In Australia, we don't have thanksgiving. However, roast turkey with stuffing and all the trimmings sounds pretty hard to beat to me.
Regards

Stuffing!!!
It's delicious!!! I love all the different flavors that the stuffing gets while it's cooking inside the turkey. You don't get those flavors if you cook it outside the bird.
