I'm so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, I can't be of any assistance as to why your Husband would commit suicide I do however know that the most common cause for suicide is depression.
Often times, people around us don't want to worry others with their problems so they keep them all bottled up inside until they just can't handle it anymore.
I don't mean to pry, but I'm assuming he didn't leave a note, or anything?

You will probably never know why, unless your husband kept a diary of some sort.

At this poing in time, you need to focus on yourself and children (if there are any). The most important thing I can tell you is that THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT. Once you husband had decided to take his life, it was his choice and responsiblity.

Please seek support and or counselling and don't let your husbands death become your life.

Peace be with you.

Enough with the prayer crap! You need to find a good, stable support group. The reasons for suicide are as various as the victims. He may have been so depressed he just couldn't handle it. Maybe he was afraid of dying, so he did it on his own terms. Maybe he didn't even know why he did it, like something snapped in his head and he did it without even knowing what he was doing. I have suffered various forms of depression, and all of the above have happened to me. Thank goodness, I had an awareness of what was happening to me, and wasn't so sick/desperate that I went through with it. Let go of the question, honey. Just rest knowing that he is happier now than he was, and that he isn't suffering any longer. And remember, it wasn't anyone's fault; none of you did it to him, he did it to himself.

You may never know why, unless he left you something to explain. I am so sorry that he did this. I understand as it happened to a friend of mine. Her brother killed himself. This, IMHO is the most selfish thing a person can do. They are dead and leave family wondering why. The hurt and devastation that they leave behind is incredible.
Please find yourself a support group where you can talk and get your feeling out about this.

Most of the time when someone commits suicide, you never know why they did it. It's only in movies that someone leaves a note to explain everything. It just doesn't happen that way. So sorry for your loss.

your husband committed suicide because he was too much of a coward to face his problems and fears so he avoided them in the ultimately selfish act. And if you believe in GOD then you also know suicide is the ultimate sin and he is burning in hell for his selfish cowardess
