We put on weight because our bodies use only part of the calories/carbs/sugars we take in, and the rest gets accumulated as fats.
It's simple maths.
Therefore to resolve the situation you can:
1 Decrease your intake of calories/carbs/sugars
2 Increase the energy needs of your body.
or both.
Personally, I have lost 9 kg over 3 months and kept it off since.
I use a meal replacement that is soy based. So instead of a 1500 cal meal, I take a 200 cal one, and since it's soy protein, it has virtually no fats but still keeps me from hunger.
Since I was a bit in a hurry to lose weight took some herbal pills to increase my metabolism so I can burn energy faster and make me full so I do not snack. (ginger/green/yerba mate based). I also take supplements to make sure I am getting all the nutrition I need.
I do not exercise much, just a bit of yoga.
I have kept the weight off for over a year now; I am not taking any extra pills, just the supplements.
Best part of it is that my meal replacement (which tastes nice and comes in a few flavours) costs even less than lunch at the cafetaria, so I save money!
So what I'd recommend you to do is to do something similar. The key is that if you give your body good food, it will take care of itself, our bodies are great machines.

Of course they are amazing , they don't show you the failures.
All of these fads only work while you are paying for them. They don't address the underlying cause of obesity, which is eating the wrong things due to an ignorance of nutrition and how your metabolism deals with different foods. Buy and eat fresh food that you prepare yourself from basic ingredients and always read the ingredients list on food packaging and find out what the words mean.

Ha ha - the before and after photos are the exceptional cases. The only way to lose weight is to reduce your calorie intake and increase the amount of exercise you do.
Once you burn more calories than you eat you will lose weight. If you eat more cals than you use you put weight on - it's that simple.

I have never heard of it, nor do I know anyone who has tried this.
But looking at their website, its gotta be worth a shot.
Its not some fad diet, its just finding out what works for you, and giving you a healthy eating plan that can be used for life.
