All kinds of things:
hygeine products (like shampoo and stuff like that)
sheets
comforter
blankets
clothes
computer (not required but definitely helpful)
a TV if you want it
books
money
storage stuff
laundry stuff (unless you live close enough to go home)
clothes for the climate (if it's different than what you're used to)
and just about anything else you feel like you can't live without. There are a lot of websites that will give you a list. Google it and you should be able to find a few of them and that will give you a pretty big list. Good luck at school.

If you're in the dorms get a LoveSac, a good stereo, a refrigerator, and a lot of posters. That makes a good room to start. Try and add little things here and there like a lamp or plants.

you should be able to survive if you have a small refrigerator and a microwave. ride a bike around campus to save money
