I was wondering...what do they do if the nurses cant get blood out of your arm? Im very hard to take blood form and after recently being put on methotrexate i need to get blood taken this week. Just wondering if any one else has this toruble.

they'll keep trying until someone can do it. Some people are tricky, but many of us in health care are excellent at phlebotomy too, someone will be able to get it within a few tries.

in the absolutely unlikely chance that no nurse/phlebotemist/IV tech can get it, physicians can do a femoral stick, but that's getting waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of yourself

Drink lots and lots of water four days before your blood test and on the day of your blood test.

I am like you, very hard to get blood out of. Water hydrates your veins and makes it easier.

tell them to use a small butterfly needle on you
i`m a hard stick and if they use anything bigger on me ,they blow the vein ....it takes the nurse at least 30-60 minutes to get a vein on me ,and i go to the hospital lab...

try drinking lots of water. it will help to open your veins.
