I own World of warcraft and have played it before and quit off and on. There's this girl at a local game store who I've talked to a few times before about video games, she seems pretty into them and she plays World of warcraft and I asked her today what server she was on. Should I start a character on that server and maybe try to talk to her?
I do plan on maybe asking her out to lunch in person soon though but would this be a bad idea?

Don't be a wuss. Skip all that stockerish behavior and talk to her in person as a friend.. joke about her and tease her.
I would tell her.. "You must not be a very good girlfriend material since you are one of those poeple who play WOW all day and have no life. ...
Hey, I will not do my gfs laundry so she can sit there and lvl up.
... I don't think this relationship is going to work.. I want a divorce!"
When things are going good.. ask her out.

Sann's got the right idea. If you start a char on her server, you'll come off as too eager. A good rule of thumb is to try to let her think that she likes you more than you like her. Otherwise girls tend to be weirded out.
But it might be a good idea to keep playing on your old chars. You don't want to look like a nub when she starts asking you about your epics ;)

If you like the game that is a good start I think. but let her know who you are and take it from there. But don't go some place just because she does you will end up been board and not have a lot of fun. sure it would be ok

Since you asked her what server she's on, if you show up there and talk to her, she might think it was sweet, but there's a greater chance she'll think it's creepy (stalker stuff). If you ask her out and are having fun on your date, you could then ask her if it would be cool if you joined on her server. That way if she says yes, you can keep that connection going.

Ask her out to lunch first and if the discussion turns to characters be up front about starting one up. Otherwise she may feel that you are being sneaky.
