If that were the case, we'd have so many people in this world that we wouldn't be able to accomodate everybody.

No, a woman will not always get pregnant. Providing that a woman has no fertility issues and neither does her husband, she will only become pregnant when she's ovulating (releasing an egg for fertilization) Then only one in four pregnancies actually ends up in a live birth (miscarriage is very common)

Your friend, I assume, is not married and still too young to be a mother. I hope you don't follow her very careless example and have unprotected sex. It's just SO STUPID! Why would she do that to herself? Does she want to cause misery for herself, a baby and her family? Look, just because she hasn't gotten pregnant yet doesn't mean that she won't. I can just about promise you that eventually she will - the timing just hasn't been right yet for her, but one of these times, she'll be ovulating during one of her weekly sex sessions and will get pregnant.

Now that you've asked this question, I know you'll be far smarter than she is because you know what's going on!

If that was the case then every other sexually active woman u saw would b pregnant. In order 2 concieve the woman has 2 have ovulated (an egg dropped into the uterus)
& the sperm has 2 make the long journey 2 the cervix (opening 2 the uterus)
& then inside it
& into the uterus
& meet up w/ the egg & enter the egg.
Obviously it does happen & if ur friend doesn't want a baby then she's playing w/ fire. Not 2 mention the risk of STD's from unprotecte sex.

Funny how one person can have un protective sex all the time and not get pregnant. While someone else who maybe does it once gets pregnant. Woman don’t always get pregnant it just depends, if the man has a small sperm count or slow sperm that could factor in. or she could just be lucky but eventual her lucky will probably run out.

Even if a woman is ovulating and sperm gets into the vagina, there is no guarantee that the woman will get pregnant.

It took my husband and I four months of trying before we got pregnant with our daughter, so it doesn't happen every time.

Sperm will only fertilize an egg when a woman is ovulating. Ovulating is individual. It doesn't happen at the same time every month.
The bigger question is...does your friend want to get pregnant? If not I would strongly urge your friend to take precautions and use protection. Also if she is with different partners I would even be stronger with my words and plead with her to use protection.

Sperm entering the vagina will not guaratee pregnancy - there are many factors such as timing! But regular unprotected sex will likely result in pregnancy sooner or later.

A woman is only fertile about 2 days in the month. This is usually around day 14 of the cycle, day one being the first day of your menstrual cycle. This is how some couples (not always succesfully) try to avoid pregnancy.

maybe she's on the pill or some other method. I still would tell her to stop being unprotected. STD's are rampant!!!
And trust me when I say it only takes ONCE to get pregnant. Those little swimmers are tough and don't give up easily!!! LOL

No, If the sperm latches on to the ovaries then your pregnant. If she wants to get pregnant then I would suggest buying one of those test ( ovulation kit ) at wal-mart.

Well then she is lucky--she wasn't ovulating. But, I wouldn't play Russian Roulette like that. There is protection out there--use it.
