i know they are the same engine but will the headers be the right shape.

almost definitely NO... totally different frames, with totally different crossmembers, suspension and steering components, firewall, etc.

Although they'll bolt up to the engine when it's out of the car, there's no way that it will fit around the suspension, crossmember, etc. Headers are for a specific vehicle/engine combination since clearance requirements differ from one model to the next.

The headers will fit up to the block but the other components in the bay will block the headers from the mid pipe so no they wont.

it will bolt up to the motor but the cross member is different in the 2 different cars

yes it will...all 4.6L engines are the same...same motor as in the slightly older Thunderbirds as well
