1) What nationality is the housekeeper?
Answer: If they're an illegal alien your at risk for more than dog attacks.
2) Does your housekeeper have workers comp?
Answer: If they don't you are liable to get it. 3) Is this a cleaning company? Are they insured and bonded?
Answer: I shouldn't have to answer this for you, you should have a contract, and all questions should be addressed in it. Put an addendum on it, if it doesn't.
4) Are you insured for an incident as this?
Answer: If your worried about your dogs, then there must be a question in your mind. Make sure have coverage via your homeowners / renters, policy.
And finally, if this has already happened... Good Luck!

Yep.... and my suggestion try to settle out of court. Depending on your state laws it could go as far as the housekeeper demanding to have the dog put down.....
EXAMPLE:
A year ago my father's aunt came along with my grandparents to stay at my father's house. My dad and his wife had three cats at the time. (thankfully still do plus a new dog) ANYHOW my Great Aunt got drunk and stepped on one of the cats and got scratched. The cat had curled up and wrapped her paws around my aunt's ankle. My stupid *** Aunt didn't clean the wound or put anything on it. BUT MAN DID SHE MILK THIS WOUND!
Long Long LONG story short (she couldn't walk for two weeks and had to go to the ER and the doctor twice boo hoo it really wasn't bad at all) But just because she went to the Doctor ANimal control came out to quarantine the cats because SHE CLAIMED she got BIT. I am telling you right now there was no bite!
So even if the housekeeper doesn't sue, if she goes to the hospital it will have to be reported and I am a firm believer that at least 7 out of 10 times its the humans fault, not the animal's.............

I was a housekeeper, working for a lady who had 10 dogs. The meanest one bit me while I was working one day. She offered to leave work, take me to the ER, and pay for whatever I needed.....because she knew I could sue her.
(which I did not do)
