Almost all medical assisting jobs require some schooling beyond high school. Usually it is between 9-12 months of additional schooling with labs and clinicals.
Your best bet would be to contact a college in your area and see if they offer the classes you need to get your schooling.
If you have already done all that, then just go to different Drs. offices and hospitals and start applying. If your medical assisting course included blood draws, you can also apply at blood banks and free standing labs.
Good Luck!
