Hello, I just started to learn the game of golf and love it! I had too much fun today. I actually took some golf lessons and want to get the opinion of others what kind of club do I buy. I just want one for the driving range for now since I just want to work on my swing. I was using a 6 iron, should I buy a 6 iron? Plus, what size golf club do I buy? I am 5'0 tall. Should I also buy a woman's club? And, how do I pick the right club? Anyone out there who can help? Thanks a bunch!

I think this information is what you need: http://www.all-about-lady-golf-clubs.com/index.html They provide many checklists for picking out the right woman's golf clubs. And for your lenght: I should say look at their 'petite' section.

What I suggest is for you to play some rounds with rents sets or demo sets. Go to some demo days and hit as many clubs as you can.. Make sure when you purchase a set you hit them or a club like them before you purchase. Unless you can get your money back after you play with them. I also suggest you look at the web site www.playgolfamericia.com . One of the programs they feature is called Link Up 2 Golf it's great and you should beet some great people. I'm using a laptop tonight that I just purchased for a trip. I want you to look at my blog roll on the 360 page. My 360 page is about new golfers You can find the link on mp profile. Or search pgamoffett. Good luck

If you just want to go to the driving range...not actually play a full round....get a 5 iron....a 3 wood......a pitching wedge and a driver....these four basic clubs.....each have a different feel and you address their swing just a bit differntly.........once you master thes four...go play a full round and then buy a complete set.....for now just get some cheap sticks at a yard sale or thrift store...then when ready buy a staqrter set that is geared to your height and grip

Buy a cheap whole lady set with bag and putter for less than 200 dollars. Get a good Pro that promise to take you on a couple of rounds. Play this set for two years, sell them on ebay, and then you'll know which set you really want to settle with.
