Yes. When the temperature of plastics is raised, they release dioxins. Dioxins leach into whatever food the plastics are in contact with. You should never heat things in plastic containers, or even drinking soda from a plastic bottle that has been exposed to any heat.

okie dokie dood, If you went to highschool, you probably learned how mutations cause cancer. Indeed, everything can cause cancer. But what type? If it is cancer from plastic, It would be a mutation on the hands, skin, flowing into your bloodstream. you'd need to have WAY more information before you determined the source was a plastic bottle. in science, you are supposed to be wrong. Look at where the mutations are caused. Skin cancer is caused by mutations from UV rays. But you don't know you have these mutations until later, it has to add up before you are diagnosed to have cancerous cells. Blehh.. Chew on some of that brainy stuff, Dood. Best of wishes, and I hope my blabber mouth helped you out a touch.

You should not reuse plastic bottles, I believe they were referring to water or soda bottles, something about when you wash them and the warm water combines it makes some cancer causing agent of some kind but this goes back a few years so I can't recall where you would go to research it, try an EPA link. I,m also not sure if it was speculation or fact. I just know I don't refill those water bottles since I heard it. LOL! Peace!
