I think people who state the world is 6,000 years old arrive at that number by counting backwards the genealogies in the bible. Since I don't know if that's an accurate way to place the age of the world, I am neutral on the matter. I have no idea how old this planet is! And I don't care! I care about who Jesus is, that I know!

Because the earth is millions of years old, and the bible supports this. Have you not read of the katabole in the Hebrew?
People who think the earth is only 6,000 years old are mistaken, because evidence of the first earth age are all around us. This earth AGE is only a few thousand years old, but the earth has been around for a very, very long time.

Actually hon, it's us humans that have been around for about 6000 years. The earth itself is millions of years old. Read the Genesis account carefully. The earth was formed first. And then later humans were placed on it.
