more like when don't they. give em a box , food and water and they will be unstopable. they are the easiest bird to breed in captivity and they are good parents most of the time. some do take a break in the winter though, they like an 80 degree room, so as the babies will be warm, beyond that they are ready to go. just try to limit them to two sets a year or they start to have issues. the female if over breed will become egg bound and most likely die. she will also loss some weight. to help give her higher proteen and a cuttle bone to keep her strong and give her enough calcium to make eggs.

All year round while they are normally inside the the house and do not have special season , u have to have a small nest made and then put some real cotton inside it, if they want to bread they start using the cotton otherwise they through the Cotton outside. good luck

They come into season a couple times a year, and if you watch your calendar and keep track of it, you'll see the pattern. Usually, late winter to early spring. Hope that helps...Good luck!

All year long if kept indoors. In spring if kept in outdoor flights.
