I'M PART WHITE AND PART NATIVE AMERICAN AND DON'T HAVE ANY DESIRE TO BECOME A DIFFERENT RACE BUT I DO LOVE ALL THE DIFFERENT CULTURES. I THINK IT MAKES THEM LOOK LIKE A BLACK WOMAN WANNA BE... IT SEEMS LIKE THE ONES I HAVE ENCOUNTERED ARE TRYING TO MAKE EVERYONE THINK THEY HAVE SOUL AND RHYTHM AND THEY'RE IN WITH THE BLACK CULTURE, WHICH MOST DON'T HAVE AND AREN'T IN. THEY'RE TRYING TO COPY WHAT IS KNOWN AS A CULTURAL IDENTITY THAT THEY DON'T FIT INTO. I PERSONALLY HAVEN'T SEEN A WHITE WOMAN THAT LOOKS GOOD IN THEM YET, INCLUDING BO DEREK IN 10. SHE'S BEAUTIFUL, JUST NOT AS A BLACK WOMAN...

Personally, I think it's not the thing to do. Cornrows are not stylish on a White woman. It's our hairstyle. Looks tacky regardless if a professional done them or not.

they (i am American Indian and don't do them) look awful in cornrows, BUT it's a great way to not have to do your hair on vacation.
stylish? not really. it's more like a heritage thing (to me any way). i think it's a way for black women to stay strong in their heritage, in their families. it's a time to all get together (the women and girls) in the kitchen and talk about whatever comes about; whatever the time calls for. to talk about girl things.
i want to be black sometimes. i'm jealous, and that's wrong, i know. sorry.

it worked for that actress in 10 and started quite a rage of cornrows, but i sure wouldnt want to mess with them.

Yes, for the most part. Especially light skinned blond women. Braids to the scalp on a white chick is acceptable when returning from the Carribean.

some white women can pull it off..but i dunno why the ones that can't still do it..but asians n latinas look better in cornrows than whites..some white folks can and some white folks just shouldnt..u dont see Eminem growning Afros n cornrows..
