Medical Insurance Service Codes--where can I find description of services?

I want to see description fo services that apear simply as "Serv Code" on explanation of benefits form. Are they service codes specific to each insurance company? Or are they standard across all medical insurers?

The service codes are standard across the USA. It should be a 5 digit code which is called a CPT code. And you can get a general description of it by doing a search like.. "CPT code 45380" and the internet results would pull up a description showing a colonoscopy with biopsy.
