and yes I know that it's satire, but really in the end what's the difference?

From one devils advocate to another, I LOVE the onion, and I particularly love that article!

Unicorn, actually that IS a logical argument.

It's called a "reductio ad absurdum" or a reduction to the absurd.

It's when you logically refute a proposition not by countering it, but ACCEPTING it, and then seeing what other things would be implied by it.

By the arguments used in by creationists/id proponents, "intelligent falling theory" would meet the standards necessary to be taught in public schools.

So before you act high & mighty about logic, you might want to get a little education about logic first.

"...in the end what's the difference?" None really. Neither side, science vs. science-fiction, I mean the god theory, has been able to give a substantial answer to most questions that plague the human mind. In the matters relating solely to issues such as gravity, the rainbow, stars, etc, very little has been scientifically proven but nothing has been religiously proven. Science and Religion will always be divided in their ways of thinking. However, their ways of reaching their conclusions remain the same - assumption, belief, hypothesis, and then, 'damnit this is the way it is, like it or not' attitude.

Let us not forget that theory does not mean conclusive evidence. It is merely a theory. (Newton's theory of gravity and the Christian theory of g-d forcing things to fall.) I can't believe they didn't use their bible excerpt that g-d forced the angels out of heaven and that is where they get their 'Fallen Angel Theory' to substantiate their case even further. Absurd.

Ahh, That's not satire you asshole. Have you ever SEEN "gravity"? Huh??? There is no proof gravity exists so that leaves only ONE logical conclusion: GOD.

Obviously you don't know a damn thing about "gravity". I.F. Theory would make perfect sense to you if you weren't such a moron.

Do you really think crack pots like Newton had any clue? When an apple falls from a tree it's because God Almighty made it happen. How hard is that to understand?

You're a damn heathen! Try reading the Bible dude

Personally, I think that 'Intelligent Earth-Suck' is a lot more credible than Intelligent Falling.

These half-witted attacks on ID are really old and lame.

looks like people who can't argue logically so they resort to making fun of Christians. Sooner or later they will figure out that it is not just us Christians who argue against evolution. Science argues against it as well. Science defeats evolution. Were just the messengers.
