Those are aweful! Do you feel like you can't breathe? That's how I get. I hate that! It feels like my heart is racing but it isn't. What was really embarrassing, I went to the emergency room with a panic attack! It was right after I had surgery and I thought something was really wrong. I think it was only my second attack, so I wasn't really aware of what they were yet. I still haven't been diagnosed by a Doctor. I don't want any medication, so what's the point?
Well, I hope it passes quickly and you get back to your wonderful self!
Much Love!!

I learned how to do deep breathing exercises. When I was in a yoga class. Breathe slowly in for 4 or 8 then slowly out for 4 or 8. If you find that you are really haveing trouble your doctor can prescribe any number of things like xanax ,clonazepam, etc. another thing I do is Make myself a glass of chocolate milk. It tends to take the focus off of whatever I was feeling. good luck

Your not alone, cut down on caffeine and relax if possible. The key to it is proper breathing, just breathe. Try BuSpar or a mild anti-anxiety benzodiazepines. Good luck

My therapist taught me a few methods to help minimize them and help reduce them.
1. Realize that your having one. Don't think your going crazy or about to die. You know what it is. Stay as calm as you can.
2. Take a deep breath, hold it for 5 seconds, and then exhale slowly. Keep doing as many times as you need to.

Good luck. There are many people who have panic disorder, including myself. Take it easy.

I've had them in the past. I always go for a brisk walk. You brain will produce more seratonin, which may help. Hang in there!
