We're over 40. I need him to become more responsible in his attitude toward me. Is there anything specific I should say or do?

Okay. I must admit it's a fairly new relationship, but it is hard to take--not being taken seriously.

I mentioned it this evening, just as I posted it here, and he said that he sees it differently. He thinks I've got him wrapped around my little finger!!!

What to do NOW???

Be honest with him.You can't change someone, but I'm sure there's things he'll stop doing if he knows it bothers you.Maybe he is going thrue a mid-life crisis and needs to see a therapist.

I have heard most men don't mature until 40+, but for everyone it is different....It really depends on how your significant other feels about responsibility, and be caring to you, and themselves...Also I think you might factor in the time you have been together.
