Apples, Cherries, Peaches and similar fruit: The seeds of these fruits contain cyanide, which is poisonous to dogs as well as humans. Unlike humans, dogs do not know to stop eating at the core/pit and easily ingest them. Also grapes and raisins are very toxic to dogs so don't take the advice of the person who says his dog loves them.

Never give a dog grapes, raisins, or avacados, theyare toxic. While most other fruits are OK, think of them as junk food. There is little in them that a dog can digest except the sugar. Since dog foods are already a very carefully balanced and complete diet, what ever you add detracts from the quality of the dog's diet. A little as treats won't hurt.

When I was in Chatuchuk market in Bangkok, I saw a section filled with puppies. The shop owners were feeding the puppies with fruits...a few of the puppies had watery stools. I don't think it's good for the dogs' digestive system and growth. They are meant to be carnivores.

not sure about papaya, mine eat everything else in fruits, they have since they were pups. They are now 6 yrs, in human age, 42 in thiers. They love GRAPES, bananas, water melon, mush melons, cantelopes, carrots, spinach beets, and grean beans. Not a lot, just a few bites to get their tails wagging.
