Just suppose that the Dead Sea Scrolls proved that the Bible was nothing more than a collection of ancient stories. How would this affect you? Would you still have faith in God? Still believe in Jesus' teachings?

Interesting question, though I find fault with the premise. The Bible is a collection of ancient stories - the one kicker is that we believe that they are ancient stories inspired by the Creator, God. Semantics, maybe, but faith, and faith in God require some effort, and some suspension of the acceptance that everything has to be cold, hard fact. It all comes down to what our reality, what our experience, what our minds (and hearts, I suppose) allow us to accept.
I think that God kept things just murky enough to allow just these kinds of discussions. After all, people, those wonderful human animals full of hope and lust and fear and so prone to mistakes and stupidity and kindness and creativity - will find ways to agree or disagree on basic fundamental truths of anything. Even if the Bible was known to be 100% fact, from the fossil records or whatever, people would find ways to dispute it. I think God enjoys the discussions, in all of their forms, and uses it as opportunities to bring people along in certain instances...
My faith is a product of my life and my experience, in addition to the wisdom and knowledge gained from the Bible.

Isn't the Bible a collection of ancient stories anyways. Stories as perceived by those that lived at that time. Faith in a higher being/God/Buddha/Yahweh are all subjective.

Um...the Dead Sea Scrolls from the cave at Qumran contain Hebrew scriptures. There's nothing about Jesus in there.

What if the bible is the truth? Which it is. I know it is because in
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
So if God breathed breath into man and man became a living soul
what type of soul would it be if the breath was taken away?
Your breathing aren't you? Explain that.

I don't believe it anyways... I would laugh at all the Christians running around and screaming... some of them would even deny it! And others would say that the Scrolls were a false story of a false story.

I have already come to a similar conclusion on my own... so, I guess it woudn't effect me, not in a spiritual way. If it was proven that the Bible was just a bunch of stories, it would change the world. It would effect everyone on the planet... EVERYONE! People underestimate the power of religious beliefs.. it would effect people of other beliefs, too... think about it..

I see it like this, for many centuries to come they will keep finding artifacts that back up and dispute the bible, I think of it in terms as lib and republicans how they always fight, ya know ?

Non-Christians are always coming up with questions that start with "what if" or "just suppose." Christians deal in truth; we have no use for moot suppositions.
