I was looking at Police Scanners and CBs and well various scanning radios and see that many freq are not available. Is there a radio that can scan all freqs? Is there Freqs that are illegal to scan?

Is there equipment that is illegal to own since it will scann x frequency?

The closest thing I came across was a really expensive scanner on ebay for like 800.00

For CBs what is the best to hack into and be able to go and do all the illegal stuff.

you need a digital scanner. Once you have one then you need to get ahold of the digital frequencies of what yoou want to hear in the area. You can get the frequencies for things such as fbi, local law enforcement(including the specific frequencies for whatever task force you are worried about) KBI, IRS, DEA and so on.

The only frequency you are not allowed to listen to is the cell phone frequencies. All scanners or receivers sold in US have those frequencies blocked.

Keep in mind, FCC regulations require that if you intercept communications not intended for you or to general public, you may not use or otherwise disseminate the information.

I don't know your budget, but ICOM has several models that can receive from 10Khz to over 2Ghz. Handheld models are about 500 dollars.

I will not help you with illegal use of CB.
