I understand where you are coming from, however, in the Christian tradition Adam repented after his fall, whereas Lucifer remains in his depraved state out of the deepest pride and hatred of God.
To tell you the truth, I wouldn't name my boy Adam, but I must realize that to do so would be no foul.

The name Adam comes from the Hebrew meaning Earth or red I believe. I think the reason people name their sons Adam is because Adam didn't actually betray anyone. He made a simple mistake. And as for Eve tempting him the original Hebrew reads "that he was right next to her". Adam could have easily stopped Eve from eating the fruit.

Adam simply means first to many people.
Adam was used as a name for Jesus (see below)
Adam was not deceived ( see below)
1 Cor. 15: 45. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam (Jesus) was made a quickening spirit.
1 Timothy 2:13. For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
of Hebrew origin [HSN121]; Adam, the first man; typ. (of Jesus) man (as his representative):
From the original Hebrew word, the actual meaning of Adam is -- ruddy i.e. a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.):
Many people use names to carry on family names. Many others do not think on the meaning of the name.. often it is a name they have heard and like.
The other names you listed are actually defined below and actually 2 of the three do not have a negative meaning.
Satan means-- an opponent; especially (with the article prefixed) Satan, the arch-enemy of good:
Lucifer -- the morning-star:
Judas means --- of Hebrew origin [HSN3063]; Judas (i.e. Jehudah), the name of ten Israelites; also of the posterity of one of them and its region:

Well, there are some differences between "Adam" and say, "Judas" or "Lucifer". Adam was a representative for the entire human race. Romans 5:12 teaches that when Adam sinned, we ALL sinned with him (we actually participated in the sin) because we "come from" his seed. Judas' sin was his own, and so it is more vilified by people in general as not belonging to them (and in fact, that is correct.)
In the same way, Jesus was representative for those who belong to Him. So that His perfect obedience becomes their perfect obedience. I might explain further, but perhaps you can get the basic concept.

Adam didn't doom all mankind.
Adam and Eve did what every single person would do and does do: at some point believe themselves to be above God's law and disobey it out of pride.
This is Original Sin. No one among us would have done differently. It isn't on Adam's head. It is on ours. If it weren't, God would not have sent us a Savior. He would have sent only Adam a Savior.

Although Adam did doom all of mankind by having sin. Adam was also a human who had a choice to make and did not realize what his consequences would return. So inresult, i think people still continue to name their children Adam on the purpous that God is forgiving and that Adam has recieved ultimate forgivness.

It's just a name for crying out loud... just because a person is named Adam doesn't mean that they will do the same thing the original Adam did...

Your points are interesting and valid. However, it would be wrong to view the name "Adam" with superstition, since it is actually applied to Jesus.
(1 Corinthians 15:45) The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

No, no, no. You got it wrong. It was EVE that manipulated him into doing something bad. How you can compare Adam to Satan? That is just ridiculous. The first guy, Adam, ****** up once and god became all emo about it and doomed us all. The second guy actively goes and does evil all the time (more evil than eating a forbiden fruit).

You have an odd way of looking at it. Adam did nothing wrong except not let his wife die alone. Don't you know that it was Eve who was decieved in the Garden of Eden.......Adam knew what he was doing and he exercised free will so that his helpmate would not die alone. For the record, what makes you think Judas was a bad person? He was one of Christs favorite disciples, his entire purpose for living was to help Christ fulfill scripture. He handed him over at Christs request at the appointed time and place to fulfill his fathers promise. Do you think the fruit Eve ate was apple too????
