José Martí Pérez - Cuba
Domingo Faustino Sarmiento - Argentina
Eduardo Chibás - Cuba
Excuse me the previous responders, but as far as I know, Cervantes, Ruben Dario, gabriel marquez, are not speakers. They were writers. I could have mentioned fidel and el che, but I didn't because they are bad guys, comunists.
There are many other comunist speakers, like Ruben Martinez Villena, from Cuba, Dolores Ibarruri ( la pasionaria ) from Spain,
Julio Antonio Mella, from Cuba
Shakira is a singer, not a speaker. Penelope and Salma are actresses.
Other speakers are Mons. Arnulfo Romero, bishop from El Salvador, and Mons. Jaime Ortega Alamino, cardinal from Cuba
