The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.

If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.
All this talk about sin sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me.

First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.

How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?

It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.

One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.

Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.

If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.

If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.

How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.

Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.

If this is the case then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.

How likely is that????

Think about it.

The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.

No, it does not mean that God will not forgive you. When we at first become a Christian, the only thing that we must do, is to believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, and ask Him to come into our hearts by faith. Read Rom. 10:9-10. God knows that we are never going to remember every sin that we have ever committed. But once we become a Christian, the Holy Spirit of God comes to abide within our soul. And after that, when we commit a sin, He will convict our heart of the sin. And then we must confess it unto the Heavenly Father, and ask for his forgiveness. And He forgives us and cleanses us from the sin in the blood of Jesus. And we will not have to worry about our sins piling up, if we confess and repent or turn from them as the Holy Spirit convicts our heart of them. Also read Rom. 6:23; but remember that this particular scripture is referring to people who have already been saved; not lost people. God will always forgive you for your sins. So if you have not yet became a Christian, just get on your knees and pray and ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins, and then consider it done. And then, read his Holy Word each day. He will direct you the rest of the way. Also remember 2 Cor. 5:17. Your life will become completely new.

If you are being truthful in your question:

We dont remember all the sins we have committed against God. if we sin 1 time a day that is 365x a year and for a 70 year old person that is around 25,555 times. But its more than likely that through our thoughts, actions, and words people sin over 25 times a day. It would take you a long time to repent of all those sins. We cant even remember the sins from our youth (as children and toddlers, let alone the sins we didnt think were important).

Simply repent of your crimes against God. Tell him all the Commandments you've broken and try to name all the sins you can think of. Pour your heart out to him and desire no longer to live in rebellion towards God but to obey him. Once you do that the next and final step for salvation is to Trust that Christ paid your fine for you when he shed his blood on the cross for you, died, and rose again. If you trust in him and him alone to save you from God's Judgment Day, then you will be saved.

God will forgive all your sins, and grant you the free gift of eternal life with him. Once you are Saved, God's Spirit will come to live in you and help you to become the person he wants you to be in Christ.

Up until the day you have had your sins and every day after that, your sins are forgiven. God doesn't mess around. The only sin you have against you before you are made a new creature is the sin of Adam. After you have realized salvation and are on the path to making your calling and election sure with fear and trembling through faith in the spirit and worship of God, you do sin. Those are the ones you need to watch out for. God will not smite you for sinning but he may correct you. His goal is to get you home in one piece. You may get scarred and beaten down. No sin is uncommon to man. Every man has and will continue in the same sins from the beginning of disobedience. The Lord will give you the strength to overcome and stand before him in righteousness.

You just have to repent of one sin. That is to repent of not believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He shed His own blood for the remission of your sins. There is no way for you to remember all your sins. Just ask God to forgive you of all your sins, past present & future. Confess Jesus Christ your LORD. Believe in your heart He died on the cross for the remission of your sins and rose from the dead for your justification.

The conversion happens the moment of confession and heart faith. God looks at your heart. Jesus Christ shed blood washes away all your sins.

You are then a born again Christian. Renew your mind in the Word of God, Holy Bible. Pray every morning & throughout the day. When you sin, confess your sin to God. He is just to forgive you your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Because sins happen, & when we mess up, we need to fess up. A born again Christian cannot abide in sin (make it a comfortable habit) because of the Holy Spirit within.

No. If you ask forgiveness for any sins you've overlooked or not recognized as sins, that should do it. If you are converting to Catholicism, you'll have to take religious instruction, and it will cover points like this.

Pray for God to remind you of the sins so that you can specifically ask for forgiveness for each sin. You'll find that the devil will also help to remind you of your sins.

No!!! However as you may remember them later on confess them then, just to be doubly sure. Your salvation is secure if you asked Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you of all your sins. That should cover all bases.

First of all I welcome you! Congratulations brother/sister!
No, they are still forgivable. God is compassionate.
When Jesus died on the cross all your sins were forgiven even the ones you haven't committed yet have all been forgiven.
But you still have to ask for forgiveness to be wholly cleansed.
God Bless you!

No. You are washed in the blood of the lamb. If you don't remember, you don't remember. Forgetting every detail is not a sin.

God's forgiveness is not contingent. Once you accept it, you are forgiven.
