What do you mean by freedom? Is it the current illusion of freedom that exists in the United States? If I were truly free, seat belts would not be required, replacing my M249 SAW after my discharge would not be illegal, RPG's at every gas station like the new free Iraq, they would not tax the crap out of my beer and smokes, but I guess I have to pay for something. By the way there would be no crime. What you need to ask is our civilized nation worth fighting for? If that was your intention then no freedom is not free and I have done my part as a younger man. SEMPER FI!!!!

No it isn't. It cost someone something for others to be free. Look at the signers of the Declaration of Independence. They lost homes. Lost income. Lost their lives and the lives of their families so we could be free. It has cost countless soldiers their lives to defend others freedom.

No! Freedom is not & never has been free. Too many people have fought & died or been crippled in one way or another, to earn it. I hate to say it but that will always be the case.
